The Bible is a collection of short books recording the history of the world, the Jewish people, the life of Jesus, and the early Christian Church. It is unique in that it contains 66 books, 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament written by 40 different authors over 1500 years. No other book in history is as popular, or as revered, nor as diverse in context as the lives of those who wrote it.
Creationists hold a number of views regarding the reliability of the Bible, ranging from strict inerrancy to substantive accuracy. However, all creationists agree that the Bible is history, not mythology or allegory, because the text itself is so obviously historical in style and content unless otherwise implied within the text through a historical-grammatical exegesis.
Due to its being prized as the coveted word of God, the Bible has been better preserved, and translated into more languages, than any other book in history. Original manuscripts can be found in the oldest written languages on Earth, and it also contains one of the longest running genealogical sequence known to exist, spanning approximately 4000 years. There is simply no other book in existence that offers a better chronological record of the early history of the Earth.
Noah's Ark was the immense vessel that God told Noah to build. The account is recorded in the book of Genesis beginning in chapter 6. The ark's purpose was to save Noah and his family from the coming global flood, and to preserve mating pairs of every kind of terrestrial animal...
Noah's Ark has not been found. According to Scripture, the ark came to rest in the mountains of Ararat, which are in Turkey. There have been numerous reports of sightings throughout history, but the region remains largely unexplored. Although the ark has probably decomposed since the flood, it remains a dream of Biblical archaeologists worldwide that the ark will be found. The ark's discovery would substantiate the Biblical account of a recent global flood and God's judgment. Discovering a vessel of that size in Turkey would lend credence to the Bible's account of the Earth's early history and the catastrophic interpretation of the fossil record.
Some believe that they have found the ark in northern Iran. A Christian archeological expedition has found a rock formation that seems to have the same dimmensions as the ark spoken of in the Bible. The formation was discovered in the Elburz mountain range on Mt. Suleiman. Scientists from the expedition have taken slices from the rocks and run tests on them. They figured out that there are wood cell structures within these samples. It is impossible for the expeditioners to ever know for sure whether or not it really was Noah's Ark, but they do know that it was a place of great importance to ancient peoples. Explorers have discovered an ancient shrine near the supposed ark.
Abraham, originally called Abram until God changed his name in a covenant when Abraham was 99 years old,[2] was born in Ur of the Chaldees in Mesopotamia. His father was Terah, his wife was Sarah, and his sons were Isaac and Ishmael.
God told him to leave his country and journey to a new land, where he would become the founder of a new nation. Abraham obeyed God, and when he was 75 years old (2023 AM) he journeyed with his wife Sarah (Sarai), his nephew Lot, and others to the land of Canaan between Syria and Egypt. At each stop along the way he set up an altar and tent-shrine.
In Canaan, God promised Abraham that his descendants would inherit the land from the Nile to the river Euphrates and have it for ever. Although Sarah was childless, and apart from God's promise there seemed no reason to think she would ever have children, Abraham trusted God that He would fulfill His promise to give them children.[3]

2 Peter 3:3-6 First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." 5But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.
