Uzzi is one of three high priests of the line of Eleazar who held the office between the death of Phinehas (2603 AM) and the investiture of Eli (2843 AM).[1] Each of these three men is estimated to have held the office for eighty years. Uzzi held the high priesthood during the careers of Judges Gideon, Tola, and Jair.
