Uzzi

Uzzi (Hebrew: עזי, ʻUzzī; "Name means::forceful") (fl. 2763-2843 AM) was the sixth high priest of Israel and an ancestor of Ezra (1_Chronicles 6:5,51 , Ezra 7:1-5 ).

Uzzi is one of three high priests of the line of Eleazar who held the office between the death of Phinehas (2603 AM) and the investiture of Eli (2843 AM). Each of these three men is estimated to have held the office for eighty years. Uzzi held the high priesthood during the careers of Judges Gideon, Tola, and Jair.
