According to the Hebrew Bible, the Tribe of Issachar (Hebrew: יִשָּׂשׁכָר, Yissakhar) was one of the Tribes of Israel.
The census held at Mt. Sinai (Num 1:28:29) shows that the numbers of this tribe was 54,400 fighting man.[1] Just before entering Canaan, another census pointed that this number raised to 64,300.[1]
