The name Yrh (Jerah) occurs in south Arabian inscriptions and is believed to have founded the Himyarite Kingdom of Yemen. His name may be identified with a certain fortress named Jerakh, near Hadhramaut. Certain authorities believe that his name originated the word "Arab", which, they think, means "Arid". The Arabs call him Yarab and he may have founded Yerats on the Sea of Galilee. He also may have founded the port of Jaderia Colonia in Illyria.
