Jebusites
From CreationWiki, the encyclopedia of creation science
The Jebusites (Hebrew: יבוסים, Yebūsīm) are the descendants of Jebus (Hebrew: יבוס, Yebūs; "Name means::threshing place"), the third son of son of::Canaan, according to Genesis 10:16 .
Descendants
The posterity of Jebus settled in the mountainous regions of Judea where, due to their strong and natural fortifications, they were able to withstand the armies of Israel. The original city of Jebus came later to be known as Jerusalem, the Urusalimmu of the Amarna tablets.
