Ahimelech (Hebrew: אחימלך, ʼAkhīmẹleḵ; Greek: Αχιμελεχ, Achimelech; Latin: Ahimelech; "Name means::brother of the king") is the name of three characters in the Bible:
- Ahimelech I, high priest, son of Ahitub (Ithamarite) and father of Abiathar (1_Samuel 22:20-23 ). He descended from Eli in the line of Ithamar. In 1_Chronicles 18:16 he is called Abimelech. He might or might not be the same as Ahijah (1_Samuel 14:3,18 ).
- Ahimelech II, son of Abiathar, Ahimelech I's grandson.
- A Hittite who served in the army of David.
