John K.G. Kramer

Educação e trabalho
Ele possui um B.S. (com Honras) da University of Manitoba, um M.S. em bioquímica da University of Manitoba e um Ph.D. em bioquímica da University of Minnesota.[4] Ele também completou três anos de pós-doutorado como membro no Hormel Institute, Austin, MN (1968-70) e como membro no NRC na University of Ottawa, (1970-71).[1]
Dr. João K.G. Kramer foi um cientista de pesquisa com a Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada de 1970 a 1997 em Ottawa e de 1997 a 2010 em Guelph, na mesma instituição.[5]
Dr. Kramer identificou, caracterizou e sintetizou a estrutura de numerosos alimentos, e componentes biológicos e bacterianos.[6] Dr. Kramer publicou mais de 147 artigos referendados, 40 documentos diversos, 55 resumos, dois livros e 11 capítulos.[7] Ele foi um dos principais cientistas que avaliaram as propriedades toxicológicas, nutricionais e bioquímicas do óleo de canola e demonstrou a sua segurança. Atualmente é editor associado da revista científica LIPIDS.[6]
Prêmios
Dr. John K.G. Kramer recebeu o prêmio Government of Canada Merit Award em 1983, to prêmio CSP Canola Research Award em 1984, e o Dutton Research Award em 1999.[7]
