The Tigris (Hebrew: חידקל, Khiddẹqel; Aramaic: דיגלת, Diglath; Syriac: ܕܩܠܬ, Deqlath; Greek: Τίγρις, Tīgris; Arabic: دجلة, Dijla) is the eastern river of the two rivers that make up Mesopotamia, along with the Euphrates, which flows from the mountains of Anatolia, Turkey through Iraq.
