Reproduction
The rosemary use sexual and vegetative reproduction. There are three ways to reproduce. The first reproduction is by using 'seed', the second way of reproduction is 'division of roots', and the third way of reproduction is called 'cutting layers'. In warm and sunny time rosemary use ‘seed reproduction’. In August, rosemary use ‘root cutting’ reproduction; they cut their root in half of root’s length. And also in summer, the rosemary use ‘cutting layer’ reproduction.[2] Usually root cutting and layering is called 'Vegetative reproduction by underground parts', and usually plants use vegetative reproduction by underground parts when the plantlets grow up too fast to be supported. Vegetative growth is starting with bend the runner into the soil. Then the rooted stem is cut from the base plant and grow up independently.(Pinkston, 329)
Ecology
An evergreen plants lives all year round. The rosemary is usually grow up in light and dry soil; in a chalk soil, rosemary grow up small. [3]. Usually an 'evergreen plant' is grow up in warm tropical place and some are grow up in cool temperate climates place. For that reason an evergreen plants such as rosemary has a needle shaped leaves. And the advantage for being an evergreen-needle shaped is they get less efficient at photosynthesis; actually this is the reason that how an evergreen-rosemary can survive in the warm tropical place and cool temperate climates place. [4]
