The Haplorrhini is known also as the “dry-nosed” primate. It’s from the primate order, which derives from the Mammalian Class. The mammalian Class is then apart of the Chordata Phylum, which is from the Animalia Kingdom. The suborder Haplorrhini also has many families below it. This family consists of the Tarsiidae, Cebidae, Aotidae, Pitheciidae, Atelidae, Cercopithecidae, Hylobatidae, and the Hominidae.

Anatomy
The haplorrhini’s all have a bit of a different body structure.
- The tarsier is the smallest. It is about 6 inches long, with a 10 inch tail. It weighs about 4.5 oz. They have huge eyes, and are covered in brown fur. Their legs are pretty much specialized for climbing and jumping.
- Cebids normally have long limbs wit nails at the end of them. They are usually 6 1/2 to 33 pounds in weight. All of them in this family have long furred tails besides the uakaris.
