International Society for Women in Apologetics is group of godly women who want to equip and encourage others to proclaim the gospel of Jesus and defend the Christian faith. The ministry was founded by Sarah Ankenman when she realized that there were no well known females in apologetics. She bought the domain name "womaninapologetics.com" over a hunch and from there her organization exploded. She found a group of woman who joined her ministry and together they helped form the International Society for Women In Apologetics. Their goal is to educate women to know and defend their faith. They want more women to enter into the field of apologetics and to help educate their children. They want to fill the void in women's ministry. Through their efforts they have caused apologetic conferences to have multiple woman speaking rather than having all men. Woman have become more confident in their faith and speaking and teaching about it through the ministry. The International Society for Woman in Apologetics is growing larger and larger.

[1]“In today’s world of theological potpourri, it is time for Christian women to participate in apologetics ministries—sharing God’s truth, in love, to advance His kingdom. It is a high calling to proclaim the gospel of grace and defend the Christian faith through speaking, writing, teaching, and ministering. After all, many unbelievers are only one question away from coming to faith in Christ.”

Doctrinal statement

1. Trinity: God is a triunity of three Persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) in one infinite, eternal, and uncreated essence, having infallible foreknowledge of all future events. The Trinity is understood here as it was expressed in the historic orthodox Nicene, Chalcedonian, and Athanasian Creeds. Comment:The reference to the creeds is limited to those statements that clarify the doctrine of the Trinity. The Historical Creeds

2. Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, possessing two distinct natures which are co-joined in one person; that He was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless and miraculous life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His vicarious substitutionary death on the Cross, was physically resurrected in the same body that was buried in the tomb by the power of the Holy Spirit; that Christ physically ascended back to the right hand of God the Father in heaven, and ever lives to make intercession for us.**

3. Bible: The sixty-six books of the Bible alone are the infallible and inerrant Word of God in the autographic text. This doctrine is understood as the one expressed by the Framers of the International Council on Biblical Inerrancy in its “Chicago Statement” and as interpreted by the official ICBI Commentary on it. Chicago Statement

4. Salvation: Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone based on the finished work of Christ alone, apart from any good works on the part of human beings.*[2]

Why Woman Should be in Apologetics

As mothers, wives, grandmothers, and single women it is our job to educate, preach, and defend the gospel. There is no reason for women not to be involved in apologetics. Everyone has their own view and take on the bible and ways to defend it. Women have the same ability that men do in their ability to be an apologist. They are the people raising the children of the world. It is important that they are knowledgeable with how to defend Christian faith and teaching it to their children. This is why it is very important to have women involved in apologetics. That is why the International Society of Women in Apologetics is very crucial and beneficial so that they can learn how to get involved and become confident in the ministry and be supported by other women apologists.
