Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries is a ministry located in Arizona dedicated to giving people the facts about creation and evolution. They strongly support a literal interpretation of Scripture and believe that scientific evidence will lead people to accept the Bible as truth. The ministry was started by Russ Miller in 2000. CESM offers several apologetic resources, including several books, videos, and PowerPoint presentations. Miller has also given many messages on creationism in churches, colleges, and conferences.CESM also leads several tours to the Grand Canyon to allow people the opportunity to witness evidence for the Flood firsthand.

How CESM Began
Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries was founded by Russ Miller in 2000. He was originally a believer in theistic evolution. However, in 1998, he watched videotapes of creationists who defended a literal interpretation of the Bible and creation. Miller decided to investigate whether Scripture's account of God forming the world was reliable. He states, "When I saw the overwhelming facts which destroy Darwinism and 'millions of years' beliefs, combined with the facts which support the biblical accounts of creation and the global flood, I realized that I, and billions of others, had been fooled".[1]
In 2000, Miller left his management recruiting firm business because he felt that God was leading him in a new direction. He started a ministry dedicated to apologetics, which became Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries. He also made a website for the ministry, known as www.CreationMinistries.Org. Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries offers people the opportunity to learn the facts about creation and evolution and compare them to what the Bible says and see what the evidence supports.[1][2]
Purpose and Statement of Faith
The goal of Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries is to help people who have been deceived into thinking that the Theory of Evolution is a fact. CESM believes that scientific evidence agrees with biblical account of creation. They want to show people the truth so that science will no longer prove a barrier that prevents people from choosing to follow Christ.[1] One way they try to do this is by correcting misunderstandings about the creation account and by giving the arguments for both Darwinism and creation, and allowing people to draw their own conclusions, which they think will often lead to acceptance of the validity of Scripture.[3] CESM has a very strong statement of faith that supports a literal interpretation of the Bible, including the Genesis account.[1]
They believe God, who is eternal and exists as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, created the entire world in 6 days about 6000 years ago and also wiped out all life except for Noah and his family in a global flood.Their statement also explains that Adam sinned, and because of this all men are fallen and separated from God. Man needed a way to be reconciled with God, so God sent Jesus, His Son, as the sacrifice to pay the price for humanity's sins by dying on a cross and rising from the dead. Mankind can obtain salvation and forgiveness by putting trust in Jesus as their Savior. When Jesus returns to judge the earth, all who believe in Him will live with Him eternally in heaven, while those who chose not to follow Him will be sent to hell. This is what CESM believes about sin, God, man, and eternity. Another key aspect of their faith statement is the complete accuracy of the Bible on matters related to science and history as well as spiritual matters. [1]
Work and Ministries
Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries offers a variety of different apologetics ministries. Russ Miller, the founder of CESM, has given multiple seminars and messages on Biblical creation in several settings. These include churches, colleges, and conferences. He also speaks in Christian radio and television programs, including "Creation for the 21st Century" on TBN.[1][4] These messages are all designed to encourage people to accept God's word as truth. In addition, Miller posts messages supporting belief in Scripture on social media sites.[1]
As another major outreach, CESM leads Grand Canyon Rim and Grand Staircase Tours. The Grand Canyon Rim Tour involves a trip to the Grand Canyon and four of Miller's messages. There is a one-day and a two-day option, and the two-day trip includes river rafting through the Grand Staircase. CESM also offers a three-six day Grand Staircase Tour. People on this tour will observe the evidence of erosion by the Flood in the Grand Canyon sedimentary layers known as the Grand Staircase. They will visit two national parks called Bryce National Park and Zion National Park. River rafting is also included in this tour.[5]
Publications
Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries has published several materials on creation apologetics. Russ Miller has developed fourteen PowerPoint seminars and several video series on creationism.[1] The video series deal with topics such as how scientific facts refute the teachings on Evolution found in textbooks, whether the earth was affected by a worldwide flood, the rapid formation of the Grand Canyon, and what the world was like before the Flood. CESM also has video series on the length of the creation week, intelligent design, the negative results of Darwinism, and the importance of the Genesis account both to the Gospel and to the history and future of the United States.[4]
Miller has also written five books. These include The Cost, The Darwinian Delusion, The Submerging Church, and two coloring books for children.[1][6] The Cost discusses the main old earth and Darwinian arguments and shows how science supports a Biblical worldview. The Darwinian Delusion points out several of the major flaws in the Theory of Evolution. The Submerging Church focuses on how Darwinism has negatively affected the Church and destroyed trust in Scripture for many people.[6]
