Herpetology is a branch of zoology concerned with the study of reptiles, such as snakes, turtles, lizards, and amphibians, such as frogs, toads, and salamanders. A herpetologist is involved with taxonomic classification, ecology, behavior, physiology, anatomy, and paleontology of reptiles and amphibians.
