The power to dictate to a supernatural being is a lure for the individual to make his own realities, his own truth, and dictate his own destiny. When God is supposed to control this (the individual replaces). And because these things are done, the individual soon loses respect for God and His word. And it starts to become no problem to deny everything that does not "conform" to the naturalist-humanist view of everything. And this path can lead to total loss of faith. And is the very reason most atheists-evolutionists have no problem with the belief theistic evolution because it gives them more power to evangelize the individual to their way of thinking and belief.
