Scientist and professor Nicolae C. Paulescu (1869-1931) was a staunch anti-Darwinist and an East-Orthodox Christian who published several works in medicine and physiology.

Career and Controversy

Paulescu very likely discovered insulin one year ahead of Nobel Peace Prize winners Frederick Banting and John Macleod due to a misunderstanding.[1]

Quotes

"The scientist cannot just say Credo in Deum (I believe in God). He must clearly affirm: Scio Deum esse (I know God exists)."[2] [3]
