Opinions
Reverend Ian Mcnaughton is a well known creationist, and has been a Christian since the age of 19. Ian firmly believes that the Bible is the Word of God, and he believes from the very first verse of Genesis that everything in it is true. He understands that denying the Word of God leads to accepting scientific theories that have not been proven, and thus disbelief in God is created. Ian firmly believes that faith is the building block for life, and that we cannot replace science for faith, or else we will have a different belief than Christianity. [1] He believes that the three biggest contributors that point to that fact that God is real are Creation, Conscience, and Christ Jesus. Another main belief of his is that the Bible should be the most important factor when we are considering how we were created. If we interpret Science through the Bible, everything we see is consistent. However, once we start to interpret the Bible according to scientific findings, then everything is thrown out of order and we no longer have God as our foundation. He believes that either people have to accept that the findings of man are more intelligent than the Word of God, or that people will accept Gods Word as the highest source of truth in the world. One post he writes, replying to a man's revision to the Bible according to modern day science, states, "The Bible is complete and no addition can be made nor needs to be made to it. It's authority rests on God Himself for He is it's source and originator." [2]. He also wrote in a different article, "God is eternal, immortal and invisible and distinct from his creation but his creation is a witness to his power and glory". [3]. Reverend Ian Mcnaughton clearly states throughout all of his articles that God must come first in all beliefs so that we have a solid foundation to build on. Also, he believes that everything in the Bible is true and must be believed, because as the bible states in John 3:12, "I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?".
