Geoffrey Simmons (born 28 July 1943 in Fort Gordon, Georgia) is a medical doctor, science fiction author and intelligent design advocate from Eugene, Oregon.

Education

Geoffrey Simmons has a BS in biology, coursework completed for MS in microbiology, University of Illinois, and a M.D. from University of Illinois Medical School. He is president of the American Academy of Disaster Medicine and a member of the Board of Governors of the Sacred Heart Medical Center's Emergency Preparedness Committee.[1]

Intelligent design

Simmons is a fellow the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture, the institutional hub for scientists, educators, and inquiring minds who think that nature supplies compelling evidence of intelligent design.[1] He is also an author at the site EvolutionNews.[2]
