Benjamin Jeremy Stein (born November 25, 1944) is an American writer, lawyer, actor, comedian, commentator, journalist, and teacher. He graduated from Columbia University in 1966 with honors in economics and as valedictorian of the 1970 Yale Law School class.

Stein co-wrote and starred in the 2008 documentary Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, that questions the persecution of scientists and academics who advocate intelligent design by stablishment of academia at American universities.
