Response Article
This article (In places, light moths increased before lichens reappeared (Talk.Origins)) is a response to a rebuttal of a creationist claim published by Talk.Origins Archive under the title Index to Creationist Claims.

Claim CB601.2.4:

In the Wirral Peninsula, East Anglia and Michigan, the proportions of light moths increased before any lichens had reappeared on the trees. This is a serious problem for the theory that industrial melanism is due to cryptic coloration and selective predation.

CreationWiki response:

It needs to be noted that the traditional peppered moth story is no way a threat to creation science. Not only do the peppered moths remain peppered moths but there is not even a change in the peppered moth gene pool—only a temporary shift in populations. The fact that Evolutionists even consider this evidence for evolution is a sign of desperation.

While Talk Origins adequately responded to the specifics of this claim, their responses still show that Wells was right about the traditional peppered moth story: more than camouflage is responsible for the observed changes in peppered moth population.
