Vertical plate tectonics

Vertical Plate Tectonics is a model developed by Michael Oard using impacts from space as a naturalistic trigger mechanism for the Biblical Flood. It provides a source of the water, from asteroids, comets, pockets of subterranean water similar to geysers, and other underground sources. It also provides for recession of water by vertical plate movement.

Problems With the Theory

The main problem seems to be turning many local impacts into a global tectonic reaction, but this may come from the fact that, at this point, the model has not been fully developed. Furthermore, it cannot as yet explain the mid-oceanic ridges. However these problems may just be matter of working the theory out.
