Welcome to the CreationWiki!

We thank the Lord for your willingness to serve Him by participating in the development of this educational resource. The CreationWiki is a collaborative effort and your help is needed. Our hope is that by working together we can build an archive of knowledge that will spread the truth of His creation throughout the world.

Please note that only creationists are permitted to edit articles. New editors are encouraged to visit the community portal to find ways of getting involved. It is also important to familiarize yourself with policy, such as the requirements for uploading images. The CreationWiki has been equipped with numerous help files that are essential for people unfamiliar with editing using the Mediawiki software.

  • Policy - We now ask that editors provide references to support all article content.
  • Creating a new page - Simply enter a title for your new article and click "Create page".
  • Editing Help - Authoring within the CreationWiki may require a little education.
  • Formatting Help - Formatting pictures and creating tables will help make your pages professional.

Uploading Files

Welcome! When uploading files, please provide a link to the page where the image can be found (along with its descriptive information). This will allow us to verify the description and copyright status if it becomes necessary.

See my changes below. I basically copied all of the available information.

Durupinar

I agree that the Durupınar page could use much development. However, the site is not acknowledged as being Noah's Ark by any of the major creationist ministries (ICR, CRS, AiG, CMI, etc.), but instead viewed a spurious claim. As such, the article can not support it as anything more than a contentious site. Nevertheless, it is a compelling site and worthy of a full article.

But keep in mind that the CreationWiki purpose is to present an encyclopedia summary of the majority creationist view. The article should indeed include the claims and evidence presented by its supporters, but the assessment of the site by the larger creationist community must be paramount.

I'm wrapping up some edits now - after reinstalling some text you deleted (see policy on deletions). I did my best to preserve your additions. Feel free to continue.

Also - note that uploading images without providing a "Copyright status" is not permitted. When uploading files users are required to provide information that verifies that the image is free of copyright or permission has been granted for its use (i.e. Creative Commons License). Note the following statement from the header on the Upload form.

Please Note: All files uploaded to the CreationWiki must be free of copyright restrictions. Your image will be deleted unless you provide information on the source of the file and the copyright status. See uploading help for instructions and clarification of requirements.

To prevent the deletion of the Durupınar page images you uploaded, you should edit the files, providing permission from the Copyright holder if given. I have placed them in a gallery temporarily.

--- p.s. Received your suggestion to change the title. "Durupinar site" is a more formal title for the location.

Revisions

In conclusion, let me say that neither you nor I know whether this site is the remains of Noah's Ark. However it MAY BE. That is all we know.

Agreed. But again the young Earth creation community almost as a whole says its not the Ark (ICR, CMI, AiG, CRS). And these are the groups and geologists that believe the flood of Noah was a real event, and would like to find the Ark to substantiate this historical claim. If these expert geologists, such as John Morris and Andrew Snelling, say its not the Ark of Noah, then we must be honest with our readership and not mislead anyone into assuming it may be - when in fact the experts say it is not.

P.S. have amended the images used so that they are all from the wyattmuseum.com website. I have contacted them and they have assured me that they are all under their own copyright.

Verification of who owns the copyrights is not what is intended with regard to "Copyright Status" form field. See this link from the upload page for clarification of requirements.
Has the copyright holder given permission for the images to be used on the CreationWiki? Your previous message does not make this clear. Permission should be obtained and the image files edited with this information.

Re: the image copyrights, yes I have permission from the v via an email sent in response to my request. How should I add this information to the creation pool page?

Edit the image pages, stating such, that the images have been used on the CreationWiki by permission of Wyatt Museum.
I have rolled-back your most recent edits, except the updated YouTube video, as most (if not all) of them were reversals of my previous edits. Please carefully review the site policy before making any further edits to pages. You have deleted content twice now since your first deletions were reversed and you were instructed to review the policy regarding deletions. In short, it is not permitted to delete content from the creationwiki where you are at odds, and it is forbidden to reverse administrator edits.
You seem to think that making threats to leave is an acceptable method of seeing your edits preserved, but coercion will not work. State your position in a civil manner using the article's "talk page", observe site policy regarding the recommendation of deletions, and respectfully abide by administrative decisions - as a "Christian man of God" should.
