9/11 Terrorist Attacks

The 9/11 Terrorist Attacks, commonly called 9/11 or September 11th, was a day of terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11th, 2001. The perpetrators of the attack were al-Qaeda radical Muslim terrorists led by Osama bin Laden.

World Trade Center Attacks: The first attack occurred at 8:46 AM on September 11th, American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the northern side of the World Trade Center 1st Tower. At 9:03 AM, United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into World Trade Center 2nd Tower.

Pentagon Attack: The Pentagon, headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, was attacked at 9:37 AM.

United Airlines Flight 93: United Airlines Flight 93 was the fourth plane which did not reach any target, and crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. It was believed the plane was headed to target either the Capitol or the White House.
