Awesome, can't wait to see what you have to write! --Tony Sommer 02:24, 2 April 2007 (EDT)

Babylon history

Is this article about the city of Babylon, or about the empire of Babylonia? If you mean to write a separate article--as I suspect you might--I own a copy of Ussher's Annals and could help write a king list. In fact, after I finish with the Kings of the Divided Kingdom, I will probably start on some of those othe kings, in addition to Nebuchadnezzar II, which I'm sure you've seen.--TemlakosTalk 17:58, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

My intention was to write this one about the city. In fact, I already have a link in the article to [[Babylonia]]. Obviously, it's not possible to write about one without discussing the other to some extent, but the city is a broad enough topic for me to tackle right now. It would probably be prudent to also split off articles on Sumeria (I even created a redirect page for Shinar with that in mind) and Persia. - Pharos 21:30, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

Do you have any plans to include biblical prophecy concerning its future, e.g. Isaiah 13:20-22 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Isa/Isa013.html)? Wdanwatts 14:14, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

No reason why not.--TemlakosTalk 23:44, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

Editing release

My apologies that I didn't get far on this. Shortly after I started, other obligations came up that have prevented me from making much headway. I had great intentions, and will certainly return to contribute (I have several texts that I had gathered for use on this), but my month is up and I'm releasing this to the community. Given the interest that this article generated, I have full faith that other editors will step up to "put some meat on the bones" in rapid order. PharosTalk 21:01, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
