- In the pre-Flood earth, the vapor canopy, a translucent layer of water vapor above the atmosphere, filtered out radiation from space, decreasing mutations and drastically increasing life spans.

This is an out of date theory, while some creationists are still trying to make it work, most creation scientist have reject it.
Note that the older reference is dated 1912, this was well before such a model could tested on a computer. Even the 1974 source predates this ability. Furthermore it predate much of modern genetics. So this is simply an out of date theory and science is if filled with them.
