Biblical Use
Ark refer to two separate vessels in the Bible:
- Ark of the Covenant: the gold-covered chest which housed the 10 Commandments, Aaron's rod, and a jar of mannah.
- Noah's Ark: the barge-shaped structure built by Noah to survive the global flood.
