Species

Not sure why you deleted that section after I rebuilt it for you....

"Snow crab" is a common name, which describes several species of the genus Chionoecetes. You list the species of that genus in the section beneath previously labeled as subtaxa. Your taxa is a genus, the subtaxa of genera are species. The species name is a binomial that includes the genus name, which should be abbreviated in this case, and italicized (i.e. C. opilio).

Pictures

Mr.Ashcraft I have not been bale to find any pictures for the speices of my genus snow crab. I was wondering if i did not put any pictures in for the gallary of that would effect my grade. I did list them in the subtaxa section but i just can not find the pictures for all the speices melissa

I think you've done fine. I found a few picture you didnt have by modifing my search results to include Tanner. And I used the NOAA search box for each species name.

There's a picture of (Chionoecetes Opilio) here. http://www.afsc.noaa.gov/RACE/media/photo_gallery/invert_files/Snow_crab.htm

The source you listed for this image was incorrect. http://creationwiki.org/Image:Tanner_crab.jpg

I found it here instead where its species name was identified as (Chionoecetes bairdi). I edited the summary info accordingly. http://www.afsc.noaa.gov/race/media/photo_gallery/invert_files/Tanner_crab.htm

Sometimes simply identifying the species of the picture you are using to suppport your text is sufficient. You had not identified the species from this picture, but its stated at the top of the page as (Chionoecetes opilio). You should add that to the caption. I also found a larger version of the image by clicking on it, so I uploaded it. http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/fishwatch/species/snow_crab.htm

Here a picture of some larvae. Use it only if you want. http://www.afsc.noaa.gov/Kodiak/shellfish/cultivation/TannerZoea.htm
