Typical with most creationists, I once believed in evolution since it is the only theory allowed to be taught in most schools including Christian schools. While raised a Catholic, I experienced a special spiritual event in my life which lead to my conversion to a Biblical Christian. Afterwards I began reading the Bible in earnest and I soon realized that my evolutionary beliefs could not be reconciled with Genesis. Twenty years of research into scientific evidence related to a strait forward reading of the Bible ensued. It became obvious almost immediately that what I had been taught in school had simply been secular religious beliefs concerning evolution. All of the evidence contrary to the theory of evolution and any potential alternate theories had never been raised. I felt cheated and betrayed by our educational establishment who had only provided me with half an education in the area of our origins. I have occasionally given talks on creation science at my church and I regularly debate on line. I have been invited to become president of a local creation society but have declined up to this point because of time constraints. I am currently in the process of writing a book (potentially on-line) regarding “science” versus “religion” in the creation evolution controversy because I do not see this adequately addressed by creationists during debates. I am looking for an outlet to share my knowledge of creation theory.
