I became a Christian in 1973 and devoured the Bible. At that time I published poetry, sent letters to the editor, and began writing songs. As I studied music in college, I was intrigued by the anatomy of vocal production and the International Phonetic Alphabet, and I worked as a math tutor. I graduated in 1981 with a B.A. in Elementary Education with minors in music and mathematics. I taught sixth grade for three years and then got married. We had a son in 1990. I didn't like any of the reading programs and developed my own in 1994-5; my husband developed the software, and Color Phonics was published in 1996. Our son had dysgraphia, and so we developed a writing system for him, and we published it for others to use. We home-schooled our son until he graduated high school. I solve puzzles and create solutions to problems. If 10,000 hours of study in a field makes one an expert, then I am a Bible expert and an ancient chronology expert. I am a biblicist who accepts the Bible as historically accurate, and lean toward the chronologies of Ussher and Dr. Floyd Jones. My Engelbrite Egyptian chronology is the best fit for the Bible and Egypt and the other ancient empires as well. I recently solved the reigns of the Sumerian King List, and hope to publish a book on it this year.
