Born 1962 in South Africa. Baptised and grew up in the GKSA (one of the more conservative Reformed denominations in South Africa). Confessed faith in 1980 to become a communicant member of the GKSA. Completed the following degrees: B.Eng (Electrical and Electronic) at Potchefstroom University for Christian Education (university name has changed since). B.Eng (Honours) in Feedback control systems (post graduate degree)at University of Pretoria. M.Eng (Master of Engineering) with distinction at University of Pretoria. MBA (through University of La Trobe in Australia) Worked as control system and software engineer in various industries for the last 24 years. Immigrated to Australia in 2000 with wife and 2 children. Served as deacon and elder for over 20 years in various Reformed and Presbyterian congregations. Interested in cosmology from a scientific and Christian perspective.
