Technology (of the term Greek: τεχνη, téchnē ; technique, art, craft and of the term Greek: λογια, logía ; estudo) is the systematic modification of the physical environment, taking into consideration the purposes of man.[1] It is a term that involves the technical and scientific knowledge and the tools, processes and materials created and/or used from this knowledge.

History of Technology

The history of technology is almost as old as the dawn of man, and it runs from when humans began using tools for hunting and protection. Initially older technologies converted natural resources into simple tools. The older processes, such as rock art and scraping stones, and the older tools, such as those made by flint, are examples of the first teconologias developed by man and were derived from a single human faculty to see the future and plan actions accordingly.[2]
