Speciation is the biological outcome when the relationship between extremes in geographic isolation and gene flow between two groups exists....The geographic modes cover varying degrees of separation and within the study of the patterns and process of speciation some have concluded it more productive to merely approach the observed natural phenomena as simply divergence.
