The RATE group has come under criticism by non creationists. They claim that the RATE group is poor in it's research. For example, it is said that in this article, the RATE group has not gone into enough detail and was too vague. And they also criticize it for the way it was dated. To quote from a Professor of Planetary Science/Physics who also happens to be a christian :
Look at the regular science papers Snelling cites at the end of his article, look at the differences in how things are stated and written. You will find instead of vague comments about outcrops and we sent samples to a lab - detailed explanations of the techniques performed and what they were performed on. Details about the minerals selected and why. Details on the dating methods employed. Listings and plots of all the data and the analysis method on that data.
This isn't discussing off topic debates, IMO this is a legitimate criticism on the RATE group, and if you say that this is just some off topic discussion of it, then fine, by all means delete this.

Yes, the RATE team has certainly gone under some serious attacks and this especially is the case on talkorigins. However, i haven't read the book so there's really no answer i could provide at the moment. It wouldn't be surprising that there are some dishonest attacks on the group itself. Both sides of the battle seems rather fierce. --Gil 17:04, 7 January 2007 (EST)
Yes it wouldn't surprise me either if the atacks were dishonest, because atheists wouldn't be able to stand it if the RATE group findings were accurate. The only problem I have with this conclusion is that the RATE group is comming under critisism by fellow christians...

Ah, so those christians probably either believe in OEC or evolution. You know, there seems to be an increasing amount of people like those. At least this is how things seem to be. For questions such as these, have you tried join CreationTalk?--Gil 18:40, 7 January 2007 (EST)
Yes, I'm waiting to be accepted.
