Talk:Oceans haven't enough dissolved minerals for an old earth (Talk.Origins)

The heading should be "Oceans haven't dissolved enough ...", not "Oceans haven't enough dissolved ...". I don't know how to fix it. --Klang 02:41, 29 April 2006 (GMT)

Thanks for checking on this one, but I think it's correct the way it is. Dissolved is an adjective modifying minerals, not a verb, in this case. In other words, "There aren't enough dissolved minerals in the oceans for the Earth to be old." Ungtss 04:22, 29 April 2006 (GMT)

Thank you Ungtss. I thought of that after I logged out last time. It means "Oceans don't have enough dissolved minerals ...". But I didn't take it as that meaning when I first read it.--Klang 07:23, 29 April 2006 (GMT)

Three points:

• As discussed above, the title correctly conveys what it is meant to convey.
• I assume that, in theory, the titles should match the entries in Talk.Origins List of Creationist Claims. In this case, however, it doesn't! It has been shortened a little. The actual Talk.Origins title is "Oceans do not have enough dissolved minerals for an old earth".
• To rename an article, you click on the "move" tab above. This "moves" the article to the new title, turning the existing one into a redirect to the new one. You can safely click the "move" tab to read more about this without committing to actual moving the article.
