but would some one like to explain how the person calculated adam's brain power and how long it took... it donesn't say that in scripture---la da da da--

What calculations? The only thing that i see that you're referring to is this:

Adam was newly created by God without any defect, and that would have included a brain exceeding ours in its ability to function.

However, there isn't any calculations here but is rather making a statement. --Gil 20:47, 3 January 2007 (EST)

Adam was created perfect; only afterwards was the world cursed because of his sin and he himself became subject to death. Since that time multiple degenerative mutations have corrupted the human genome; one of the most drastic changes is that lifespans have been reduced from around 930 years before the flood to around 75 now. We should also expect that Adam would have been a superior physical specimen and of very high intelligence.

As medical science has progressed, more and more people who would previously have died without reproducing are now surviving and having children. While this is a good thing for the individuals involved, it will accelerate the process of genomic decay in the human race. The adverse consequences of this have been countered to some extent by better diet and consequent improved health, at least in the West. (N.B,: just in case someone should get the wrong end of the stick, this is absolutely not an argument for eugenics.) --Oelphick 16:13, 4 January 2007 (EST)

2 creation stories

Genesis 2 mostly recounts what God created in the garden. In Genesis 2 we already know that God finished creating the heaven and the earth.

1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Verse 8 tells us that God planted a garden in eden, the verses after talk about the creation of things inside the garden, so there are not 2 creation stories. But you are right to say that genesis 2 : 7 is about things happened in the past.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

But again, we already know this from verses 1-3. I really don't know how any scoffer can make this claim anymore.

I thought I would add the bit about the creation of things inside of the garden, what do you think?
