Wikipedia cited?

Why is the Wikipedia article cited for the claim that Woodmorappe is "now widely known to be the pen name of Jan Peczkis."? The Wikipedia entry does no cite it's own source. PrometheusX303 05:29, 10 July 2007 (EDT)

Because Wikipedia is arguably the largest and most widely read encyclopedia in existence. The publication of a pen name in a reference such as that makes it widely known. --Mr. Ashcraft - (talk) 12:07, 10 July 2007 (EDT)
