Sioux

It says in the article that the Sioux are not a Mongoloid group and have distinct features that set them apart. However, I have seen old photographs from the 1800s of Sioux people, and they don't appear that different from other Native American peoples to me.

Perhaps you should explain the differences between the Sioux and other Native groups, because I can't see any. --Anima 05:57, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

• The Sioux are an exception to the rule that the American Indians are brachycephalic (i.e. round-headed), a characteristic of Mongoloids - the Sioux are actually long-headed (dolichocephalic). Their features are quite different too. For example, their noses are hooked and longer than most Indians. - CelticCreationist 22:07, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
