Why is the gallery of pictures in this article? I had removed it and, upon looking at the article, again, saw that it was readded. These pictures are misleading. A mention in the article that each substance contains the particular halogen would suffice. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 14:11, 22 January 2011 (PST)

The explanation for the reversion was provided in the edit summary.. I'll paste it in here.
(Do not delete content from pages - propose such changes.. The removed images are found on no other page, nor are they categorized on the pool. Removing them results in their movement into oblivion.)
These pictures are misleading. A mention in the article that each substance contains the particular halogen would suffice.
Agreed, such a comment should have been added rather than deleting the gallery. The gallery being in the "Uses" section of the article would seem to clarify that, but feel free to add to the image descriptions. --Ashcraft - (talk) 14:22, 22 January 2011 (PST)
