This page was started to put together some definitions we non-professionals don't know easily. Any help with adding words and definitions is greatly appreciated. Some writers in CRSQ provide glossaries of words, which can be reworded for use here. Some definitions are difficult to reword, but I don't know how short or general a phrase must be to avoid copyright problems for a public domain site like CreationWiki.--John Baab 05:41, 14 April 2008 (PDT)

This sounds like an excellent project, that could extend to other disciplines. Such definitions are available on public domain sites like the USGS, or they can be taken from another GNU licenced site.

Enter the following in the Google search panel (site:usgs.gov terms). Their terms are sorted by subjects such as Hydrologic, Volcanic, Paleontology, etc.

p.s. For the record, CreationWiki is not public domain. The content is protected under the GNU licencing agreement.
