Postal abbreviations

For several decades, postal symbols for the several States within the United States, and for the District of Columbia, have consisted entirely of two uppercase letters without periods to follow them. We adhere to official parlance, especially when, as, and if we contemplate writing additional articles about modern American (or Canadian) cities. I doubt that "Washington, D.C." would even produce a proper article title on account of those dots.

For that matter, if we're going to start writing articles on modern cities, we have to decide just how much information we wish to provide on any strictly modern settlement, political subdivision, or country that has no Biblical history whatsoever (and in the case of American cities, do not even bear mention in eschatology).--TemlakosTalk 12:48, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
