Talk:Cosmic rays and free neutrinos affect U and Ar decay rates (Talk.Origins)
I personally feel this claim isn’t dead. I realize that there are problems with it, but I just feel there is still evidence backing it up.
This article (://www.cs.unc.edu/~plaisted/ce/Evidences.htm) cites some papers supporting the belief that cosmic rays effect the decay rate. I will paste them here for you.
"Furtive Glances Trigger Radioactive Decay," Science 2 June 2000 vol. 288 page 1564.
Science 26 April 2002 vol. 296 page 633.
There is also much evidence foreign radiation coming into our atmosphere.
One thing we might want to look into is a case for an unknown radiation. Maybe some type of particle we don’t know of triggered accelerated decay?
I know there are better theories out there but just give this one another chance. --Nlawrence 15:41, 25 January 2007 (EST) Nathan Lawrence, Jan 25
