regarding safety and unclean meat

I didn't want to get into legalism and go beyond the very empirical science in terms of conclusions.

I think this may apply too:

The New Testament declares, For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. ." (I Timothy 4: 4-5 (NKJV)). In regards to the afore mentioned verse, it could be argued that prayer does sanctify food. The Bible has plenty of versus regarding God's protection. Also, perhaps, the benefits outweigh the cost and clearly there is some nutritional goodness in foods that the Torah declared unclean. What foods optimal from a empirically tested science viewpoint is often controversial. In short, in regards to eating strictly a kosher diet versus a non kosher diet science has no definitive answers at the present time.

Could you give me more information or would you consider revising or deleting what you wrote?

CAN WE REMOVE THE AFOREMENTIONED MATERIAL?

In the article it was written:

"Some scavengers accumulate toxins to levels that are dangerous to humans."

Also:

"Only in modern times have technologies improved to the point where we can be assured that meats have been sufficiently cooked to kill these pathogens. Even today in societies where these methods are unavailable parasites are a major problem."

Here is what 1 Timothy 4:4-5 (New King James Version) states:

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; 5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

No - A reference to the passage already exists in the text.

Chris Ashcroft,

two questions:

Which scavengers accumulate toxins to levels that are dangerous to humans and what studies do you base your statement on?

The thing I hate about a certain WIKI which shall be unnnamed is that it is filled with unsubstantiated statements. I tried to avoid that in the Bible scientific foreknowledge article and used about 130 footnotes.

It is one thing to say some food MAY be better than others but to say dangerous is a whole new ballpark. Paul's letter in Timothy above seems clear. I do realize that some animals have poisonous parts but even then I know that other parts of them are eaten.

I may be mistaken but I don't believe their has been any rigorous study of this issue.

Second, what do you base this statement on:

"Only in modern times have technologies improved to the point where we can be assured that meats have been sufficiently cooked to kill these pathogens. Even today in societies where these methods are unavailable parasites are a major problem."

I know broiling and boiling have been around for a long time and I do not say that sarcastically but am merely bringing this up.
