Talk:Chemical substance
Redirects
Redirecting a subtopic (i.e. Boiling point) to a related topic (i.e. Pure substance) should be done by using a link to the appropriate subheading.
Personally I think its better to create a redundant stub rather than redirecting in this manner, and assume the stub will be fleshed-out later. Then simply link to the stub within the subheading as follows.
Boiling point
- Main Article: Boiling point
The boiling point of any pure substance is the temperature at which, under common atmospheric pressure, that substance changes its state from liquid to gas. If the substance is a gas at 25 degrees Celsius, this temperature is sometimes called the condensation point.

Fluid
In the portuguese article I wrote:
"A fluid is a liquid or a gas. The glass, for example, has no definite crystalline structure, and is therefore an amorphous solid, or a liquid with a viscosity enormous."
The French article also uses "liquid or gas".
I don´t know if in English countries the glass is considered a solid or a liquid. Or a solid, a liquid and a gas. So I am not sure what is the right phrase and definition to use here and in my translation.
I appreciate if someone can clarify this point.

- "Glass" is an amorphous solid, as you observed. Glass is solid at ambient temperature, We always refer to the ambient phase, and recognize that any substance (if it does not decompose) can assume any phase, under the appropriate conditions.--TemlakosTalk 14:22, 28 May 2013 (EDT)
