Possible mistake

I guess this partial phrase: "the fact the moon would have been traveling at to great of a speed to capture the moon" is wrong.

maybe the correct is:

"the fact the Earth would have been traveling at to great of a speed to capture the moon"

But I am not sure

If you know about this matter, please give me a feeback concerning this question
