Geckos have small round bodies, with two pairs of legs. Each of the four legs has three toes. These "toes" are a wonder of science. Each pad has thousands of small setae attached to the bottom surface of the foot. These attach to virtually any surface using a theory called "van der Waals interactions". Though this theory emphasizes force of liquids, the geckos foot needs no liquids of any kind to adhere to surfaces. [http://www.apologeticspress.org/articles/2099]

Another wonder is the geckos tail, the tail is used to store fat the gecko builds up. it can then burn that fat when needed without carrying it on their bodies (or torsos). Some species have tails that shoot poisonous liquids out of the ends. [http://geckodude.com/tail.htm]

Geckos come in a variety of colors, for genetics and other different reasons. Some are born with the colors that they will have their entire lives. Some have adapted forms of camouflage, and some rely on chromataphores to rapidly change their colors as a form of protection.

Geckos do not have eyelids, they have a clear membrane over their eyes. These "membranes" are cleaned by the geckos licking over them with their long tongues.[http://geckodude.com/shedding.htm]
