My thoughts on Ruth is that she was an amazing person. To have your husband die and leave your family for your mother-in-law takes alot of courage and faith. She could have done so much more with her life if she chose the easy path: going home, remarrying someone her age, having children to call her own, and be taken care of instead of working. But instead she chose to take a chance and to be there for the person she loved. She must have had so much faith that God would provide and take care of them. And to Naomi's suprise he did. He provided them with a man that could both carry on the family name, and provide for Naomi and Ruth. Our God is an amazing God and we should never doubt his ability to provide for us. Ruth really showed me how taking big steps are ok, because if you have the faith she did, God will provide without a doubt. | |||
