This story of Ruth begins with Naomi, Elimelech, and thier two sons: Mahlon and Kilion. Now Noami and her family were traveling from Bethlehem, Judah to the country of Moab. Soon after that Elimelech (Naomi's husband) died and she was left with her two sons. In that country of Moab Mahlon and Kilion married women by the names of Orpah and Ruth. The marriage didnt last long because about 10 years later both Mahlon and Kilion died, leaving three widows in the household. All three of the women grieved for the lost of their husbands and sons. Later on Naomi realized it was best if she moved back to her home town and let Orpah and Ruth go back to their families and remarry. Orpah and Ruth begged Naomi not to do this to them but she insisted they leave. Orpah grieved and she took off back to her home town. Ruth on the other hand told Naomi " Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my Godh. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. He saw Ruth from a distance and asked one of his servants who she was. The servant told the story of how Ruth's husband died and she came with her mother-in-law to live here in Bethlehem. Boaz went over to Ruth and said " My daughter, listen to me. Don't go and glean in another field and don't go away from here. Stay here with my servant girls. Watch the fields where the men are harvesting, and follow along after the girls. I have told the men not to touch you.
