God loves them equally as much as he loves everyone else and intends for them to prosper and thrive. Although a person who suffers from mental retardation has many set backs in their life, they often have a great calling. People who suffer from Down syndrome often excel in life. Many people in the world view Down syndrome as a negative thing. Many health issues arise in people with Down syndrome but those people could not live happier lives.
