Depth of the flood waters

Hey great article, I read it all and is really well written. However I have one gripe, a qualifier of sorts on the last sentence within the, Launching the Ark section of the article.

It states:

The Bible says that the waters covered the earth to a minimum depth of fifteen cubits. Lovett[2] suggests that the ark drew that much water as it floated. This would represent half its height, and would be in keeping with modern experience with supertankers and other heavy freighters.

I think specification of when the waters reached fifteen cubits they were then covering the mountains is in order, no? As the Bible states: "20The water prevailed fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered."

Just a thought, what you think? --Tony 13:34, 25 April 2008 (PDT)

Repaired in two places: in The Narrative and in the section you named, to make clear that the water level was fifteen cubits above the highest mountain peaks, so that no land was present; only sea.--TemlakosTalk 17:57, 25 April 2008 (PDT)
Great, this then remains consistent with other written material on the subject, such as Oard's Flood Follies (EvoWiki). --Tony 18:05, 25 April 2008 (PDT)
