Oncorhynchus (Pacific salmon and Pacific trout) is a genus of in the family Salmonidae (salmon).
Species
- O. gilae - Gila trout
- O. gilae apache - Apache trout (Arizona trout)
- O. chrysogaster - Mexican golden trout and as many as eight other species or subspecies in northwest Mexico, not yet formally named
- O. clarkii - Cutthroat trout
- O. gorbuscha - Pink salmon (humpback salmon)
- O. ishikawai - Satsukimasu salmon
- O. iwame - Iwame trout
- O. keta - Chum salmon (dog salmon, Keta salmon, silverbrite salmon)
- O. kisutch - Coho salmon, or locally, "silvers" or silver salmon
- O. masou (sometimes O. masu) - Seema (sima, sema, Japanese salmon, Masu salmon, cherry salmon)
- O. mykiss Rainbow trout (steelhead, redband trout, ocean trout)
- O. mykiss gairdneri Redband trout
- O. aguabonita - Golden trout
- O. nerka - Sockeye salmon (red salmon, blueback salmon, kokanee)
- O. rastrosus - extinct, 9-foot-long species that was extant from the late Miocene to the Pleistocene; "sabertooth salmon"
- O. tshawytscha - Chinook salmon (king salmon, tyee salmon, Columbia River salmon, black salmon, chub salmon, hook bill salmon, winter salmon, spring salmon, and blackmouth)
