CreationWiki talk:Administrators

As I've stated, I'm no scientist (only a minor in astrophysics ☺) and I don't do a lot of writing here. But for many of the things I do contribute on, having elevated privileges would be helpful. I've worked with the MW software for years now, have been sysop on a couple public wikis, and know a lot of the tricks, so I try to use my knowledge to make things look good and work well for others. I don't think I should be a sysop, as that would enable more abilities than are required, and most policy issues are outside my interest anyway. I recently discovered that Mediawiki projects have the position of interface editors, a group that has editinterface, editprotected, editsemiprotected, editusercss, edituserjs, protect, suppressredirect, and templateeditor permissions. (These seem to be available in 1.16, which is the version running as I write this.) This is a smaller set than is available to admins. All that said, I'd like to nominate myself for the position of interface editor. ⇔ ChristTrekker 📝 15:34, 3 April 2014 (EDT)
